Funny man Richie Holliday didn’t grow up wanting to be a comedian. He wanted to be an architect, but quickly discovered he was terrible at math. So he took the advice of his college philosophy professor: “Find something you like to do, then do it so well someone will pay you to do it.” In early 2001, Richie tried his hand at stand-up comedy. After just two weeks of open mic, he was offered a job as the house MC and decided he enjoyed getting paid to show the world he’s not quite the genius his parents hoped he would be.

Touring nationwide since then, audiences have been falling in love with his laid-back, yet quirky personality. Richie has a whimsical intuition and a captivating physicality that shows as he strolls through topics from his struggles in grade school, to his difficulties in the dating world. With his silly sensibility and adaptive style, Holliday’s humor is contagious; he doesn’t need to force feed his comedy, it just comes naturally. Though most will identify his talent as a performer, Richie’s ability to craft a joke reveals his unique thought process.

Holliday’s unforgettable charisma along with his surprising skill set makes him one of the most requested comics touring today. When he’s not on the road, Richie can be found in Oklahoma where he lives on a golf course and orders way too much Chinese takeout.
